Guard for motor mower

Problem

Local government use considerable resources to maintain beautiful parks and gardens for the community’s amenity. One regular task is the moving of lawns done by employees using a ride-on motor mower.

When mowers are being operated, projectiles such as stones are often thrown out from under these machines. The stones or other objects can strike employees and members of the public.

Solution

An employee suggested that a guard, made of chain, be attached to the sides of the mower.

The flexibility of the chain allows the mover to ride over all surfaces, and successfully prevents stones being thrown out from under the mower.
